Lübeck, Germany

We travelled by train to Lübeck, just a short one hour trip.  The hotel was in the old town across the river from the train station.  The weather was beautiful and warm (unlike California when we left!).

Lübeck was pretty much destroyed by British bombing raids in WWII but you’d never know it!

We were really impressed with the Seafarer’s Guild or Schiffergesellschaft which originates from 1535.  The interior has miniature ships suspended from the ceiling.
