Cherry Blossom Festival, San Francisco

We met up with Debra and Paul at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Japan Town in San Francisco. It’s quite a big event and we had difficulty finding parking (or at least free parking!).  Streets were packed around the Pagoda Plaza where the parade was to end. We decided to walk away from the Plaza towards the begining of the parade which started at Civic Hall Plaza.  Good idea as the crowds thinned out and we could actually see the performers.

Didn’t see much Cherry Blossom though!  There are more cherry trees near us in Sunnyvale since it was a major produce area before they built houses on the land.
